
C-Capture Ltd, who is developing the world’s most energy efficient chemical processes for capturing carbon dioxide from industrial sources, has appointed Mick Lee as Senior Modelling Engineer and Cliff Williams as Senior Process Engineer.
Mick Lee has over 20 years’ experience in process technology development for bp, having developed catalytic processes for fuels and green chemicals at all scales from whiteboard to licence offers, notably so for the Hummingbird® bioethanol to bioethylene process. Mick’s experience in Research and Development (R&D) includes roles in technology transfer, process development and project assessment. More recently, he has managed extensive portfolios of intellectual property, agreements, and university projects.
Mick said, “I’m delighted to bring my experience in process technology development to a fascinating project in a vital environmental field”.
Cliff Williams has over 25 years’ experience in the chemicals industry, having worked for bp and INEOS, including development of pilot units for low carbon ethylene production, business development for novel additives and catalysts, and most recently as R&D manager and technical signatory for all INEOS Oxide products, supporting product quality, quality compliance and technical development programmes.
Cliff said, “I have a unique skill base in designing and supporting innovative technologies similar to C-Capture, along with many years of pilot plant design and plant manager experience. I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge in this hugely relevant application, and helping to decarbonise the economy through bringing C-Capture’s innovative technology to market”.
