Mark has over 30 years of experience across the global gas, power and renewable energy industries. Prior to joining CPP Investments, Mark was on the board of Centrica Plc for 10 years and was the Chief Executive Officer of Centrica Business. During this time he led its upstream (exploration and production), power generation, offshore wind, nuclear power, distributed energy, energy marketing and trading and B2B energy and services business (with a focus on Europe and North America). Before Centrica, Mark was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Shell Energy’s North American division, and on the board of Shell Oil. In his 21 years at Shell, Mark worked across the full oil, gas and power value chain including a role as global VP of gas and power trading. Mark is a chartered engineer and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University in London, United Kingdom.
