C-Capture’s Lead Process Engineer, George Wright, has been recognised as one of Leeds and West Yorkshire’s Top 30 Under 30.
The awards are given to young professionals in honour of the outstanding contributions they make to regional business and the companies they work for.

He has delivered exceptional results and demonstrated strong leadership throughout various projects, this recognition is well deserved. George began his career in carbon capture as a Junior Engineer, joining C-Capture after graduating from with an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. He was promoted to Process Engineer after his first year at the cleantech company and went on to complete a year as a Proposals Engineer in the Commercial Team before moving back into a more technical role in his current position as Lead Process Engineer.
He said: “My role at C-Capture gives me the freedom to be creative with design and the feeling that I’m contributing to the greater good by working within the energy transition space. I can make a real impact within the company as a startup while helping build a sustainable future. There’s huge potential ahead for C-Capture and I think we can ultimately be a global player within carbon capture.”
As part of his award win, George will complete a year-long programme of professional development focused on leadership skills as part of the Top 30 Under 30’s LEAP Programme.
